The Certified Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) was launched on 22nd March 2025 for the final-year B.Com students under the initiative of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, in association with Bajaj Finserv. A total of 50 students enrolled in this 90-hour skill enhancement course designed to prepare graduates for careers in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector.
The course comprised four major modules, each handled by expert trainers:
- Banking – Smt. Saraswati Petkar
- Finance – Mr. Amit Yalagi
- Insurance – Mr. Tabraze Mulla
- CAWS (Communication and Workplace Skills) – Mr. Sachin Nadagoudar
Each module was structured to blend theoretical knowledge with practical training. In addition to domain-specific content, emphasis was laid on enhancing communication, interpersonal, and professional skills through the CAWS module.
Highlights of the Course:
- Industry-oriented training aligned with BFSI sector requirements
- Interactive sessions, real-world case studies, and simulations
- Focus on soft skills, interview readiness, and workplace behaviour
- Periodic assessments, group discussions, and mock interviews
The course saw active participation from all students, and the trainers ensured high engagement levels through participatory methods. Upon successful completion of the program and final assessments, participants will be awarded CPBFI Certificates, enhancing their employability in the competitive job market.
