VISIT TO SHASHI FOODS PVT. LTD (PARLE BISCUIT FACTORY), SANIKOPPA, TALUK: BAILHONGAL

The final year B.Com students of KLE Society’s Degree College, Gokak. undertook an industrial visit to Shashi Foods Pvt. Ltd, popularly known as the Parle Biscuit Factory, located in Sanikoppa, on 25th April 2025. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of a modern manufacturing unit and enhance their understanding of business operations and industrial workflow.

A total of 40 students, accompanied by Staff Coordinator Mr. Shakti Sarvade, participated in the visit. The students were given a detailed tour of the factory, including various departments such as production, packaging, storage, and quality control. They witnessed the entire biscuit manufacturing process – from raw material intake to final packaging – and gained insight into the technology and machinery used in large-scale food production.

The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience, linking classroom theories with real-world practices. It also offered students an opportunity to interact with factory personnel and understand industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures in the FMCG sector.
